Our Heritage

The Polish National Catholic Church (PNCC) is an independent, Catholic Church organized in March 1897 in Scranton, Pennsylvania.  Its first priest as organizer and leader was Bishop Francis Hodur, whose new religious movement standing for the belief that God created people for good, happiness and salvation. The PNCC is recognized by the Roman Catholic Church but is not under the jurisdiction of Rome. The PNCC allows its priests and bishops to marry, conceivably being better equipped to handle issues involving family life.

The Women’s Society for the Adoration of the Most Blessed Sacrament is the oldest Church-wide organization founded in 1897. It was with great courage and foresight that the PNCC elevated women in the Church, giving them a prominent place in the liturgy, long before equality and voting rights were fully established in the United States.

Our Parish

We are a family-orientated, non-papal, Apostolic Catholic Church. We preserve the faith of the Apostles and have apostolic succession with an unbroken line of bishops from the Apostles of Jesus Christ to present day. Our beliefs are based on Holy Scripture and tradition.

Our priest is married with a family and experienced in counseling and youth education. We are young and old alike, comprised of warm, accepting, community-minded believers committed to helping others and providing solace. The parish owns its property and decides its destiny.

We have an active School of Christian Living (SOCL) spiritual learning. Both girls and boys are welcomed as Alter Servers. Our church is very active in feeding the hungry and serving those most in need. Our doors are open to everyone. We welcome people of all ethnic, racial and social backgrounds. We can't wait to meet you!
